Self Defense Hamburg hosted special guest Kai Uwe Pel in Hamburg, Germany, on June 7, 2018, who delivered a very special and in-depth seminar on the “Eight Elbow” Methods of Seven Star Praying Mantis – Techniques, Grappling, and Free Fighting Application.

Seven Star Mantis Auckland (New Zealand) Classes Starting – Feb. 7, 2018

The Auckland (New Zealand) branch of the Luo GuangYu Seven Star Praying Mantis Athletic Association will open its doors for classes starting Thursday, February 8th.

Weapons Kung Fu Seminar Jan. 20th: “Fifth Son Eight Diagram Staff” of Northern Shaolin – January 14, 2018

Kai Uwe Pel hosted a weapons kung fu seminar in Recklinghausen, Germany, on Saturday, January 20, 2018, where he taught the original “Fifth Son Eight Diagram Staff” (五郎八卦棍) of Northern Shaolin created by the monk Yang Wu Lang (杨五郎).  In attendance were students from Bremen, Bochum, and Steinfurt, including long time student Kai Ehlemann from Bochum who began training with Kai in 1997, and who previously attended the Qingdao Training Camp in China hosted by Master Pel in 2008.

The Luo Guang Yu Seven Star Martials Arts school in Shanghai ran a summer program for kids during the months of July and August, 2017. Qingdao Training Camp 2006

July 2006 marked the first Qingdao training camp for Kai Uwe Pel and the Shanghai Luo Guang Yu School of Qi Xing Tang Lang Quan.

In July 9, 2004 Master Yamel Torres of Chicago U.S.A. came to Shanghai and visited our Shanghai Long Wu Kung Fu Center.

Master Yamel Torres is from the Qi Xing Tang Lang family, his teacher was the late Master Raymond Ly. He was able to have exchanges with Master Pel privately at Master Pel’s home and also able to attend the group class at the Long Wu Center.
