Originally from Calgary, Canada (born and raised), Nathan previously spent half of his life living in China, where he resided in Shanghai for 25 years leading a successful career in capital markets, finance and technology. He speaks fluent Mandarin, reads/writes Chinese, and is a graduate from the University of Calgary, Haskayne School of Business. Nathan has been active in athletics from a young age playing ice hockey up to the age of 17, and collegiate football in university. He is deeply involved and passionate about martial arts, in which he has studied Seven Star Praying Mantis Kung Fu under the tutelage of Master Kai Uwe Pel since 2003. Nathan has recently relocated back to Canada with his family where he currently lives in Calgary and continues to teach traditional Seven Star Praying Mantis Kung Fu.
